Shah Abdullah Alamee

Shah Abdullah Alamee graduated from the National College of Arts (NCA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2012. He was a recipient of the Haji Shareef Award, NCA's highest accolade of achievement in miniature painting. His calligraphic works have been featured in prestigious exhibitions and events, including the Lahore Biennial 2018, Quad Museum UK (2019), Billboard Project (2020), Faiz Festival Alhamra (2017 and 2019), If the Self Suffer Exile at LUMS (2020), Tapestry of Fading Gardens at 1x1 Gallery, Dubai (2020), solo shows at Tanzara Gallery, Islamabad (2021, 2022), and a nomination for the Jameel Prize at the Victoria and Albert Museum (2020). He has also performed live calligraphy at the Islamic Biennial in Jeddah (2023), the Faiz International Festival in Lahore (2023), and Duke University, USA (2024). His recent collaborative show, The Silk Twine of Dual Hues, at Tanzara Gallery, Islamabad (2024), and participation in the Haryali group show at the Denmark Embassy, Islamabad (2024), further highlight his exceptional talent. Shah Abdullah Alamee is also the recipient of the Nigaah Art Award in the category of Contemporary Calligraphy (2023)
